Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release Sigourney Weaver's critically acclaimed performance in Imaginary Heroes on June 7th. The presentation will be in anamorphic video with a Dolby Digital 5.1 track. Supplements are expected to include a commentary with director Dan Harris and actor Emile Hirsch, a commentary with Sigourney Weaver, deleted scenes, and the usual array of trailers. Expect an SRP of $26.96.

Blue Underground, the folks who brought that very respectable DVD of Final Countdown to market, has announced that it will release My Brilliant Career as a 2-Disc Special Edition on May 31st. The romantic epic, starring Judy Davis and Sam Neill, is reported to have been fully restored and remastered in high definition from the original negative under the supervision of director of photography Donald McAlpine. It will be presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic video, and will feature a number of new mixes - 6.1 DTS-ES, 5.1 Dolby Digital EX, and Dolby Surround 2.0 - in addition to its original monaural. Extras will include a commentary by director Gillian Armstrong, theatrical trailers, and on a second disc: interview with Gillian Armstrong; interview with producer Margaret Fink; Cannes Film Festival Premiere featuring Judy Davis, Gillian Armstrong, and Margaret Fink; The Miles Franklin Story; Poster & Still Gallery; and, a Teachers' Study Guide on DVD-ROM.

Dimension Home Video offers Darkness in both the theatrical cut and a new, fourteen-minute longer unrated version on April 26th, each with an SRP of $29.99. Anna Paquin stars as a precocious young woman who seems to be the only one of her family to suspect that supernatural powers are afoot in a recently acquired home in Spain. Lena Olin, Iain Glen, and Giancarlo Giannini also star. The disc will be presented in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio and in anamorphic video; the audio will be in Dolby Digital 5.1. Supplements include Darkness Illuminated: Behind-the-Scenes of Darkness and the original theatrical trailer and teaser.
