Man of Steel - 2:03pm

Although they have so far been known primarily for their genre offerings, leading indie label Blue Underground will release two acclaimed 80's post-punk cult faves on November 16th.

First up is Susan Seidelman's Smithereens, which proved to be the director's entryway into mainstream Hollywood. Remastered in 1.66:1 anamorphic widescreen and Dolby 5.1 (the original mono track is also included), extras include audio commentary with Seidelman, the "Desperately Seeking Susan & Richard" interviews with stars Susan Berman and Richard Hell, a still gallery and the theatrical trailer. Retail will be $19.95.

Also due the 16th is Kathryn Bigelow's early effort The Loveless, starring Willem Dafoe. Also remastered in anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1, extras include a new audio commentary with Bigelow, Dafoe and producer Monty Montgomery, plus a still gallery and the trailer. List price will also go for $19.95.

Get Stoned - 2:03pm

The next in Warner Home Video's growing line of remasters celebrating their classics, the studio will release Damn Yankees on October 12th. Fully restored in 1.79:1 anamorphic widescreen and Dolby mono, there are no real extras aside from trailers. Retail will be $19.95.

Also just announced from Warner is a new reissue of the already-gargantuan The Oliver Stone Collection, which will now be expanded to include fourteen discs (!).
