Fox Home Entertainment has just announced their full September lineup of catalog titles, and it is another eclectic mix of new, old and TV on DVD releases.

In addition to the horror titles announced on Monday, Fox will also debut the controversial documentary The Hunting of the President on September 28th. A probing look at a sustained and well-funded effort to discredit and defeat Bill Clinton, the film will be presented in both anamorphic widescreen and full screen, and extras include an audio commentary with the filmmakers (full participants to be announced), deleted scenes and the theatrical trailer. Retail will list for $19.95.

Next up on September 7th are the next waves in Fox's Martial Arts and Cinema Latino collections. Titles in the former include Knockabout, Battle Creek Brawl, Mr. Vampire, The Postman Fights Back and Iron Fisted Monk; while the latter boasts Life Kills, Vivir Mata, Sexo, Pudor Y Lagrimas, Second Chance, El Segundo Aire, and Sex, Shame and Tears. All are presented in anamorphic widescreen and their original language track, and include trailer galleries. Retail will go for $14.95 apiece.

Also streeting on September 7th is the next in the Fox Studio Classics series, Alexander's Ragtime Band. Presented in remastered 1.33:1 full screen and Dolby 2.0 stereo, extras include audio commentary by Ray Faiola, the 45-minute Biography: Alice Faye" TV special, three deleted scenes, a still gallery, premiere footage and theatrical trailers. List price will be a mere $14.95.

Rounding out all the goodies are two new TV on DVD releases.
Lost in Space: Season 2 Volume 1 hits stores on September 14th and includes 16 episodes, each presented in 4:3 full screen and Dolby mono. There are no extras, and list price will be $39.95. Finally, Angel: Season 4 will boast 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers and Dolby 2.0 surround tracks, plus a host of extras: audio commentary on six episodes, the "Prophecies: Season 4 Overview," "Angel and the Apocalypse," "Unplugged: Season 4 Outtakes," "Last Looks: The Hyperion Hotel," "Fatal Beauty and the Beast" and "Malice in Wonderland: Wolfram & Hart" featurettes. List price for all this bloodletting? $59.95.

Feeding Time - 12:01am

Yet more new scary movie announcements have come in from Warner Home Video - it is certainly shaping up to be a strong holiday season for horror fans. On October 5th, the studio will unleash eight cult faves: The Hunger, He Knows You're Alone, It's Alive and a double feature of its two sequels, It's Alive II: It Lives Again and It's Alive III: Island of the Alive, and yet another follow up, Return of the Living Dead 2. All will feature remastered anamorphic widescreen transfers and Dolby Digital mono tracks (except The Hunger and Return of the Living Dead 2, which are in Dolby 2.0 surround), and the only announced extras are theatrical trailers. Retail will list for $19.95 a pop.

On the QT - 12:01am

Rounding out today's news is a gaggle of new street date changes. So mark your calendars...

After enticing fans with both R-rated and Uncut versions of their hit zombie remake Dawn of the Dead, Universal Studios Home Video has bumped back the release until October 19th, along with the reissue of John Carpenter's The Thing and the Adam Sandler Happy Gilmore/Billy Madison two-pack. Features and retail price remain the same.

Also getting the boot from Buena Vista Home Entertainment are two upcoming theatrical comedies, the Coen Brothers' remake of The Ladykillers and Kevin Smith's Jersey Girl. However, this time the news is good, as both will now street a week earlier on September 7th. Again, no feature or pricing changes. And Buena Vista has also announced that the next wave of Hayao Myazaki animated titles, Porco Rosso, Naussica and My Neighbor Totoro, will now debut sometime in 2005. Stay tuned.

Last but not least, Warner Home Video will debut The Wire: Complete First Season a month later, on October 12th.
