On the QT - 12:01am
Rounding out today's news is a gaggle of new street date changes.
So mark your calendars...
After enticing fans with both R-rated and Uncut versions of their
hit zombie remake Dawn of the Dead, Universal
Studios Home Video has bumped back the release until October 19th,
along with the reissue of John Carpenter's The Thing and
the Adam Sandler Happy Gilmore/Billy Madison
two-pack. Features and retail price remain the same.
Also getting the boot from Buena Vista Home Entertainment are
two upcoming theatrical comedies, the Coen Brothers' remake of
The Ladykillers and Kevin Smith's Jersey
Girl. However, this time the news is good, as both will
now street a week earlier on September 7th. Again, no feature
or pricing changes. And Buena Vista has also announced that the
next wave of Hayao Myazaki animated titles, Porco Rosso,
Naussica and My Neighbor Totoro,
will now debut sometime in 2005. Stay tuned.
Last but not least, Warner Home Video will debut The
Wire: Complete First Season a month later, on October
12th.
