Electric Dreams - 3:45pm

Just can't get enough TV on DVD? Then add three more favorites to your shopping cart courtesy of Universal Studios Home Video, who will debut a trio of favorites on September 7th: American Dreams: Season One, Columbo: The Complete First Season and Magnum P.I.: The Complete First Season. The two TV classics get the 4:3 full screen and Dolby 2.0 stereo treatment, while American Dreams comes in glorious 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen and Dolby 5.1 surround. This "Extended Music Edition" also boasts extended performances not seen on TV during each episode, featuring such musical guest stars as Usher, Kelly Rowland, LeAnn Rimes and Jennifer Love Hewitt, plus audio commentary by producer Dick Clark and cast, the "Dick Clark Remembers" featurette looking back at the history of American Bandstand, additional making-of footage, a blooper reel and a music video. Retail will list for $89.95.

Universal has also announced two street date postponements for the new Dazed & Confused Flashback Edition and a reissue of Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Both will now debut on November 2nd. Specs and retail price remain the same.

Iron Fist - 3:45pm

Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment has just announced their August 31st lineup of new and catalog releases, and leading the charge is Tom Selleck in Ike: Countdown to D-Day. This acclaimed telefilm will be presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen and Dolby 5.1 surround, but includes no extras aside from bonus trailers. List price will cost $24.95.

Also hitting DVD for the first time on the 31st are three thrillers from the Columbia vaults: Theresa Russell and Burt Reynolds in Physical Evidence, and the cult faves Relentless and Relentless 2: Dead On. The first two get anamorphic widescreen transfers, while Relentless 2 is full screen only. All include Dolby 2.0 surround tracks plus trailers, and will retail for $19.95 a pop.

And last but not least is the direct-to-DVD sequel Annie: A Royal Adventure. Presented in 4:3 full screen and Dolby 2.0 surround, again there are no extras aside from bonus trailers. Retail will be $19.95.

Jack 2004- 3:45pm
