'Whole Ten Yards'; 'Land of the Lost'; New Line campy horrors
Football Follies - 1:49pm

"Crime is not usually a laughing matter, but it is a riot" in The Whole Ten Yards, the not-exactly-blockbuster sequel to the 2001 hit The Whole Nine Yards. Although all of the original cast returned for the sequel - including Bruce Willis, Matthew Perry and Natasha Henstridge - it failed to ignite the box office, but will likely do better on DVD. Warner Home Video will release the Howard Deutch-directed pic on July 27th in separate anamorphic widescreen and full screen versions, each with a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround track, audio commentary by Deutch and writer Mitchell Kapner, and theatrical trailers. Retail will be $27.95.

A Routine Expedition - 1:49pm

"Free-fall through an open time portal..to a world where menacing dinosaurs roam free!" Sid & Marty Krofft's answer to Jurassic Park, Land of the Lost: The Complete First Season will make its DVD debut on June 29th courtesy of Rhino Home Video. Filled with extras, this three-disc box set features all 17 first season episodes presented in 4:3 full screen and Dolby mono, plus multiple audio commentaries with Sid & Marty Krofft, sci-fi writers David Gerrold and D.C. Fontana, and cast and crew, additional interviews and episode info. Retail will be $39.95.

Fluff 'n' Fold - 1:49pm

Three "chilling tales of terror" will be hitting a DVD player near you on August 17th courtesy of New Line Home Entertainment. Making their DVD debuts will be Tobe Hooper's hilarious The Mangler (about a possessed laundry machine!), plus The Guyver and The Guyver 2. All are presented in remastered anamorphic widescreen (The Guyver is also a director's cut with four minutes of additional footage) and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround (The Mangler also includes a DTS option), and include theatrical trailers. Extras on The Mangler also features alternate and unrated scenes with a side-by-side edit comparison. Retail is $19.95 a pop.
