'50 First Dates'; Warner TV on DVD; 'Die Mommie Die!' SE

Reunited for the first time since 1996's The Wedding Singer, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore scored another hit with last winter's 50 First Dates, which grossed over $100 million at the box office. On June 15th, Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment will give this one the special edition treatment, releasing the flick in separate anamorphic widescreen and full screen versions. Each includes a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround track, audio commentary with director Peter Segal and Sandler, deleted scenes, a featurette, blooper reel, music video, trailers and hidden easter eggs. Retail will be $27.95.

Everybody Loves TV on DVD - 5:29pm

Just in from Warner Home Video are yet more new TV on DVD announcements. First up is the long-awaited debut of Everybody Loves Raymond: The Complete First Season on July 13th. Presented in 4:3 full screen and Dolby 2.0 stereo, extras include audio commentary with star Ray Romano and additional cast and crew (on select episodes), a new featurette and episode notes. Retail will be $44.95 for this four-disc set.

Next comes the DVD debut of another hit series, the controversial FX drama Nip/Tuck. Streeting on June 15th, all 13 episodes of the program’s first season will be packaged in an "eye-catching lenticular 5-disc collector’s edition box set." PResented in 4:3 full screen and Dolby 2.0, extras include the "Giving Melodrama a Facelift," "Realistic Expectations: The Practice of Plastic Surgery" and "Are Those Real or Fake?” featurette, a "Severed Parts” gag reel, the “Cutting Room Floor” deleted scenes, and a sneak peek at Season 2. Retail will be $59.95.

Last but not least, just in time for Father's Day comes Super Bowl XI-XX, the second in Warner's lineup of classic football moments. This five-disc set comes with 10 hours of action-packed footage including defining highlights, enhanced content, a commemorative booklet and a Super Bowl XX ticket replica. All video material is presented in 4:3 full screen and Dolby mono and 2.0 stereo. Retail will cost you $64.95.

Mother's Day - 5:29pm

Rounding out today's news is the arrival on June 29th of the instant camp classic Die Mommie Die!, from cult auteur Charles Busch and executive producer Anthony Edwards (yes, that E/R guy). SUndance Channel Home Entertainment will give this one the lavish treatment, complete with anamorphic widescreen transfer, Dolby Digital 5.1 surround track, audio commentary with director Mark Rucker, Busch and actor Jason Priestley, the "Anatomy of a Scene" TV special, "The Costumes of Die Mommie Die!" featurette, deleted scenes, a music video, still gallery and an additional gallery of "Rejected One-Sheets," and trailers. Retail will be $29.95.
