What a Girl Wants- 12:01am

Giving The Passion of the Christ a run for its money at the box office this winter, the Mandy Moore vehicle Chasing Liberty will hit DVD on May 4th. (Perhaps if Moore had been nailed to a cross it would have been a bigger hit?) Warner Home Video will release the romantic comedy in separate anamorphic widescreen and full screen versions, each with a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround , audio commentary with director Andy Cadiff, deleted footage, a music video for The Roots' "The Seed," and trailers. Retail will be $27.95.

And hitting DVD on June 8th from Warner is The Dame Edna Experience: The Complete Series 1, which is also sure to be a big hit with fundamentalists. This two-disc set features 4:3 full screen transfers, Dolby 2.0 stereo tracks, "An Audience with Dame Edna Everage" and "Ester: Dame Edna Everage" featurettes, additional 1991 interviews with creator Barry Humphries, and a music video of Dame Edna singing her theme song "Niceness" live on the BBC in 1976. List price will be $34.95.

The Judith Light Experience - 12:01am

More exciting TV on DVD announcements have also come in from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment, who will release three favorites on June 8th. Fans can look forward to a four-disc Just Shoot Me: Seasons 1 & 2 collection, plus Tour of Duty: The Complete First Season which spans five discs, and finally the 80's classic Who's The Boss: The Complete First Season. Each is presented in 4:3 full screen and Dolby 2.0 stereo and include no extras aside from airdate and episode synopses. Retail will be $39.95 for the two comedies, and $49.95 for Tour of Duty.
