'Intolerable Cruelty'; 'Martha, Inc.'; 'My Boss's Daughter'; Anchor Bay street dates

Divorce, American Style - 9:21pm

Kicking off today's news, on February 10th, Universal Studios Home Video will release the latest from the Coen Brothers, their flop farce Intolerable Cruelty. The disc will be available in separate 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen and full screen editions, each with Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 tracks, multiple featurettes, trailers and more to be announced. Retail is $26.95. Also arriving on the 10th is the little-seen Courtney Cox Arquette and David Arquette straight-to-video comedy The Shrink Is In. This one includes only a 4:3 full screen transfer and Dolby Digital 2.0 surround track plus trailers. Retail is also $26.95.

Office Politick - 9:21pm

Just in from Buena Vista Home Entertainment is a February 3rd street date for My Boss's Daughter, the non-hit comedy starring the most overexposed star of the moment outside of Michael Jackson, Ashton Kutcher. Available in separate R-rated and PG-13 rated versions, the flick gets the anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1 treatment, plus extras that include an audio commentary with director David Zucker and cast (apparently, Demi couldn't make it) deleted scenes and the trailer. Retail is $29.95.

The Naked Chef - 9:21pm

She came, she saw, she baked. And was busted. On February 3rd, Lion's Gate Home Entertainment will release the stinging biopic Martha, Inc., starring a perfectly cast Cybill Shepherd as the witch with a wisk. The telefilm is presented in 4:3 full screen and Dolby 2.0 surround, and there are no announced extras. Retail is $24.95.

Dead Can Dance - 9:21pm

Rounding out today's news are some Anchor Bay Entertainment street dates. The independent will at last release a long-awaited new edition of the George A. Romero cult classic Dawn of the Dead on March 9th (followed by an even more elaborate special edition later this year), along with a batch of cult favorites, including Sam Peckinpah's The Osterman Weekend, The Mirror Mirror Collection, The Tales of Beatrix Potter and, on March 23rd, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys - The Complete Third Season Watch for specs to be announced soon.
