Angst - 2:55pm
One of the season's first indie successes and already generating
strong Oscar buzz for star Bill Murray, Universal Studios Home
Video has announced a February 3rd street date for Sofia Coppola's
Lost in Translation. The highly-acclaimed romantic
drama will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen with Dolby
Digital and DTS 5.1 surround tracks and French and Spanish subtitles.
Universal has not announced any extras, and retail is set at $26.95.
Universal has also announced yet more catalog titles, all due
on January 20th. Many were previously licensed to Anchor Bay and
GoodTimes, and all are being reissued here in anamorphic widescreen
transfers: the thrillers Trepass and
Judgment Night, the remake of the classic Flipper
starring Elijah Wood, a Smokey and the Bandit
Pursuit Pack featuring all three films (each remastered),
the Emilio Estevez cult favorite Repo Man, and
the dreadful Sylvester Stallone "comedy" Stop!
Or My Mom Will Shoot. All included trailers and no additional
extras, except for Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, which also includes
"The Making of Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot" featurette
and an alternate ending. Retail is a low $14.95 each, except for
the Smokey three-pack, which retails for only $19.95.
