'How to Deal'; 'Beethoven's 5th'; 'All the Queen's Men'
Moore to Remember - 5:45pm

How to deal with a big bomb? Make a speedy turnaround to DVD, throw on lots of bonus features and slap the Platinum Series label on it and voila! Hitting stores on December 9th, How to Deal stars "It Girl Mandy Moore!" in a poignant look at teen romance. Presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0 surround, extras include audio commentary with Moore, co-star Alexandra Holden and director Clare Kilner, the featurettes "Moore," "Macon," "To Be 'Clare'," and "How to deal with Young Adult Literature," four deleted scenes with optional commentary, two music videos, trailers and addition PC content including the complete screenplay, a still gallery and weblinks. Retail is $27.95.

Making their first-ever DVD debuts on November 4th are two decidedly more adult dramas, the erotically-charged Wide Sargasso Sea and Delta of Venus. each includes R-rated and Unrated cuts of the film presented in both anamorphic widescreen and full screen and Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 surround. Extras include theatrical trailers. Retail is $19.95 a pop. Kinky!

This Dog's Life - 5:45pm

Yes, it is unstoppable. The neverending shaggy-dog story continues with Beethoven's 5th, which Universal Studios Home Video will release direct-to-DVD on December 2nd. Presented in 4:3 full screen and Dolby Digital 5.1, extras include an audio commentary by director Mark Griffiths, additional cast interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, a "Dog Bloopers" reel, and sneak peeks. Retail is $24.95. Woof woof.

Springtime for Hitler - 5:45pm

Rounding out today's news is the story of Nazis, oppression and...men in drag. All the Queen's Men - a movie that was just crying out to be made - will get the DVD treatment on November 18th courtesy of Warner Home Video. Starring Friends' Matt LeBlanc and Eddie Izzard, this WWII comedy will be presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1, extras are mercifully slim and include a still gallery, filmographies, production notes and the original theatrical trailer. Retail is $24.95.
