Get ready for more "Laughs and Thrills!" this winter
when Disney unleashes direct-to-video sequels for two of their
biggest family hits. Replacing the departed Matthew Broderick,
comedian French Stewart steps into the shoes of the famous Inspector
Gadget in Inspector Gadget 2, debuting exclusively on video
on March 11th. Presented in 1.66:1 anamorphic widescreen with
English and French 5.1 Dolby surround tracks, this one comes loaded
with extras including two audio commentaries with director Alex
Zamm and actors Stewart and Elaine Hendrix, an isolated music
soundtrack, "The Gadgets Behind Gadget's Gadgets" featurette,
deleted scenes, outtakes, a music video, two set top games, and
a storyboard-to-screen comparison. Retail is $29.95.
The adventures of Patch and the 101 Dalmatians gang continues
in the animated sequel 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure.
Presented in "family friendly" 1.66:1 anamorphic widescreen
and English 5.1 Dolby surround, extras include a behind-the-scenes
"Dog-umentary," the "Thunderbolt: An Inside Look"
featurette including outtakes and bloopers, two music videos and
an interactive game. Retail is also $29.95.
Also in March, the Playhouse Disney educational video series
will bow the first-ever DVD of its newest hit series and Emmy
Award-winner Stanley. Hitting shelves on March 11, this
first volume features two 44-minute episodes - "Hop to It"
and "Spring Fever," and no extras. Retail is $19.95.
