Do the roach - 12:39am

You've seen the smash Broadway musical, now see the hit movie...again. Previously available only as part of the John Waters Collection two-pack with Pecker, on 12/10 New Line will release a stand-alone version of the trash auteur's cult classic Hairspray. Features are the same as those on the previous release, including a 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen version of the film, English 5.1 and 2.0 Dolby surround tracks, an audio commentary by Waters and the film’s star, Ricki Lake, filmographies and the trailer. Retail is $19.95.

New to DVD on December 10th are three quirky indie flicks that played to little fanfare this past year, but may find a new audience on DVD. Finn Taylor's acclaimed Cherish, the Tim Robbins and Patricia Arquette romance Human Nature, and The Invisible Circus with Cameron Diaz all feature anamorphic widescreen and full screen transfers, English 5.1 and 2.0 Dolby surround tracks, theatrical trailers, and ROM extras including scripts and weblinks. Retail is $26.95 each.
