Perhaps the granddaddy of the "missing trailer footage" phenomenon, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels had a great teaser. Who can forget the stuffy Michael Caine and mischievous Steve Martin pushing that old lady into the river and that kid's face into his ice cream? Despite taking a whole day to shoot, too bad the footage was never incorporated into the movie. Yet so many people saw that trailer that invariably there was a near-outcry when moviegoers felt cheated that the scene wasn't in the film!

Released on DVD by Image Entertainment in late 1997, that disc has long since been discontinued, and didn't include the famous teaser. Perhaps with MGM now owning the film, they'll get around to reissuing it with the trailer this time. Or better, yet, how about a full-fledged special edition?
